Summer Socials Launch creates excitement for businesses in Fernie

On April 24 at the Fernie Arts Station, the Summer Social committee hosted a launch to inform and inspire the business community. The event was a success, with all in attendance leaving excited about all that has already been organized for the Sunday Downtown Socials and Wednesday Concerts and Market, and many taking on roles and adding to these events in support of this initiative.
Each Sunday throughout the summer has a "theme" to encourage visitors, with business being asked to take part or help organize on top of opening their doors and working with their store-front space to add to the allure of downtown. The organized event portion of Sundays will occur from 1-4pm.
July 8- Feel Good Fernie (Health & Wellness focused)
July 15- Made in Fernie (Arts & Crafts focused)
July 22- Take a bite out of Fernie (Food & Beverage focused)

Aug 5- Fernie Friendship Day (all industries, anything goes)
Aug 12- Show n’ Shine (Automotive focused)
Aug 19- Fashion Face-Off (Fashion focused)
Aug 26- Fernie’s got Talent (Talent/skill focused)
Wednesdays are continuing with last year's success by running every week (weather permitted), with live bands, beer gardens, and the Mountain Market offerings including additional F&B opportunities for those looking for a post-work snack while enjoying music and the outdoors in downtown Fernie at Station Square and the Arts Station.
The Summer Socials, a collaborative community initiative in Fernie, BC, is adding to our stoke on summer and I know we're looking forward to spending more time downtown this July and August!
