Salmo Truck - I don’t know what it is about Salmo, BC but there seems to be a surplus of old abandoned trucks right off the highway. Out of all the trucks I found, this one had the most character. The curves are great and the rust creates great colour and texture, showing its weathered life.

This photo was taken last winter on one of those nights where a full moon lights up the valley. I was setting up to take a few shots of the ski hill when I heard the horn of a train coming from town. It is a 90 second exposure that captured the lights of the train while it streaked through the bottom of the photo.

This shot was taken on the banks of the beautiful Elk River in Fernie. I ventured out on a clear night, tripod in hand. The goal was to capture the calm and majesty of the evening. Many hours later I'd shot a few 'keepers', but had no one to share them with, so I made myself a friend. Joe is his name, and he's very light-hearted.

Dedicated models are essential when it comes to action sports photography. Due to the fact that Ian could not see in the dark with his goggles down for this photo he promptly crashed into the sapling in front of him seconds after this shot.
