Good as Gold Gala

Three years later and the party just keeps on going! The As Good As Gold Gala kicked off the holidays and opening weekend in Fernie with a smashing success at the Clubhouse Saturday December 4th. Decked out in golden hues and sparkling gold jewellery attendees were treated to a night of enormous fun and memories for a lifetime. The dance floor was hopping all night and the drinks were plentiful. Lillis and Claude Perrault of The Clubhouse, along with their amazing team of staff promptly delivered a well stocked party donating all the proceeds from the bar along with all the tips earned from the evening for an approx. total of $3200. That combined with ticket sales and other donations raised from the organizing efforts of Chantel Souliere of Freyja Lifestyle Fashion and Lindsay Adams reached $4970. In total approx. $8170 was raised for the Fernie Salvation Army’s Family Services, and that total is expected to climb. Only in a community as unique and special as Fernie can residents rally together and truly pull off something this magical. Organizers want to thank all that supported this event and are already looking forward to planning next years themed event.
