Fernie Mountain Film Festival Social Media Short-Film Comp!
The Fernie Mountain Film Festival crew is well on its way to organizing another fabulous event weekend this February 23-25. To start things off and get us excited for the upcoming festival, they have created an exciting opportunity this November - a Social Media Short-film Comp!
The short-film comp will run through FMFF's facebook page, with three individuals taking home a GoPro HD Camera. Alongside the festival's mandate, "“dedicated to filmmakers who spark awareness of mountain cultures, fragile environments, and the passion and perseverance of global explorers,” FMFF have divided this competition into three categories - biking, skiing or mountain adventure. "Choose your weapon," Abi Moore says, of FMFF.
To enter the competition you must first "like" FMFF's facebook page, and then upload the short film (up to ten minutes in length) of your choice either direct to FMFF's page or through You Tube and then posting the link to their page. Videos with the most "likes" will have the opportunity of being among the final videos decided upon by the festival committee.
The competition is open until the end of the months (November 30), and winners will be announced December 15. Don't forget that the festival in February includes the popular Local's Film NIght on Thursday evening to kick off the weekend. Get yourself a GoPro and enter this year's big comp, with cash prizes for first, second and third this year!
