The annual Spring Bike Blitz is back at the Elks Hall, starting with the gear swap between 10am and 2pm, a BBQ to raise funds for phase 2 of the Bike Park, a bike parade/ride, followed by the Fernie Mountain Bike Club AGM. Visit www.bikefernie.ca for more information.

Women in sport

Over the last two weeks I've thought a lot about women and the sport of mountain biking, especially after reading two articles - one by mountain bike racer Emily Beaty, the other by Mitchell Scott on Pinkbike.com. I also realized that yes, I'm a bit of a princess AND a mountain biker.. and that's okay.
