From the black heart of coal country in British Columbia's Elk Valley (Fernie to be exact), Old Man's Beard began as the song writing duo of Michael Shaver and Jesse Clarke. Since forming in early 2008, Jesse and Mike have forged a repertoire of original music that exposes the good, the grand, and the unknown. Women in sport

Over the last two weeks I've thought a lot about women and the sport of mountain biking, especially after reading two articles - one by mountain bike racer Emily Beaty, the other by Mitchell Scott on Pinkbike.com. I also realized that yes, I'm a bit of a princess AND a mountain biker.. and that's okay.
