Madison Violet Live at The Arts Station

Both hailing from Scottish small towns in Canada, Brenley MacEachern and Lisa MacIsaac have chosen another musical path; one that channels their parent’s vintage record collection that comprised of the likes of Neil Young and Dolly Parton. The pair have come into a sound of their own though which has been described as both city-folk and Americana. Madison Violet, have toured their alt-country modern-roots sound and flawless harmonies across the world for over 10 years. They have been nominated for handfuls of East Coast Music Awards and were named 'Best Vocal Group' at the 2009 Canadian Folk Music Awards and they are Grand Prize winners of the 2010 John Lennon Song Writing Contest. Their latest album No Fool For Trying was nominated for a 2010 Juno.
