Another opportunity to try out racing - the Community Race takes place at the Golf Course, and has categories for kids as young as three. Open to both skate and classic skiers. Watch for more information on the Fernie Nordic Society website .

Women in sport

Over the last two weeks I've thought a lot about women and the sport of mountain biking, especially after reading two articles - one by mountain bike racer Emily Beaty, the other by Mitchell Scott on Pinkbike.com. I also realized that yes, I'm a bit of a princess AND a mountain biker.. and that's okay.
