Fernie Mountain Bike Club Work Party Wednesday - South Castle

This week the Fernie Mountain Bike Club, volunteers, and Luke and Henry of Backcountry Trail Experts are taking on South Castle. To help out, meet the crew at 6pm at the Dirt Jump Park where there will be shuttles up River Road to the bottom of the trail. Work will include cleaning up erosion issues and repairing the trail tread. Finishing in time for the outdoor movie at the Elks Hall held by the club, makes for a fun evening.

Over the last two weeks I've thought a lot about women and the sport of mountain biking, especially after reading two articles - one by mountain bike racer Emily Beaty, the other by Mitchell Scott on Pinkbike.com. I also realized that yes, I'm a bit of a princess AND a mountain biker.. and that's okay.
