Fernie Curse and Museum’s Community Celebration
Enjoy the Fernie Curse and Museum’s Community Celebration! In August 1964 the mayor of Fernie and a Ktunaxa elder shared a pipe and the spectre of Fernie’s curse was raised. The weekend festivities begin with a family street dance on Friday night, with music by Red Girl. Saturday will include guided heritage walking tours, a play and an opening reception for the exhibit Fold it Up and Put it Away: A Curse Examined.
