Invermere, B.C. native Ian McIntosh took his love for extreme sports to new heights when he strapped on his wingsuit and began BASE jumping seven years ago – an activity that is not for the faint of heart. Using nothing but a parachute to break the fall, participants jump from fixed objects at various heights.
McIntosh was recently chosen as a winner of TELUS’ Play with the Best contest – which received a total of 2,719 entries – after submitting a photo of himself via Instagram in his BASE jumping glory to the contest website: www.playwiththebest.ca. He was awarded with a $25,000 video shoot, where he performs a BASE jumping demonstration.
