April Powders...

April showers (weather phenomenon), a term used to describe spring rain in parts of the northern hemisphere... unless you're in Fernie!

It has snowed over 100cm's over the last 7 days and it's currently dumping as hard as I've ever seen it. Yesterday, after 23cm's of freshies, I decided to unpack my ski gear and head to the hill as... biking season is far off! Last year's Dem Bones on April 15th is an impossibility.

The hill was like my own private powder haven. I kept second guessing where I was skiing as I couldn't see a soul in sight... am I really allowed to be slaying Steep and Deep? Easter? Snake Ridge? Untouched and not a soul around, it took a lot of self control to head back to town for work.

And today's only going to be better! But with brightly coloured individuals attempting to ski pow on their skinny's, doing daffy's and spread eagles to their heart's content. Happy Hot Dog Day everyone, see you at the PPP.
