Chamber Business Excellence Award Winners
This Tuesday October 24, 2017, 150 guests representing the business community of Fernie and its community leaders gathered at the Rusty Edge at Fernie Alpine Resort for the Fernie Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.
The evening began with the opportunity to enjoy appetizers and socialize with others in attendance. As everyone was seated, guests were welcomed by MC Martin Brock, owner of Fernie Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and Chamber Board Member, and speaches were given by title sponsors and Mayor Mary Giuliano. Once dinner was served, the audience enjoyed a presentation by Dan Pontefract, an author and speaker who specializes in employee engagement.

Peoples’ Choice Award – Kettle Black Bartending
Community Leadership Award – Park Place Lodge
The Chamber Legacy Award was also awarded on Tuesday night. This award recipient is selected by the Chamber Board of Director to recognize individual(s), or business, who have made an impact on the community over a ten year or more period. This year the award was presented to Randy and Patti Cameron (Patti's Party Rentals) who have been operating businesses in Fernie for over 20 years and approach all projects and jobs with a can-do attitude. This couple is known for giving back to the community through volunteer hours and donation of services.
